Singapore Airlines
Pet travel policy for Singapore Airlines (SQ) — based at Singapore Changi (SIN), Singapore.
Policy summary
Singapore Airlines does not allow pets in the cabin; only registered guide dogs travelling with visually impaired passengers may travel in the cabin, and arrangements must be made through Singapore Airlines reservations at least 72 hours before departure. All other pets travel as manifested cargo through Singapore Airlines Cargo (SIA Cargo), which is booked by an IATA-accredited freight agent acting on behalf of the owner. Singapore's Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS, formerly AVA) requires every inbound pet to hold a valid import licence, a 15-digit ISO microchip, a rabies vaccination administered at least 30 days before travel, and a rabies serological titer test from an OIE-approved laboratory for animals from non-Singapore-rabies-free countries. Pets entering Singapore are subject to a quarantine period of 10 days to 30 days depending on country of origin. Singapore Changi Airport handles live-animal cargo at its Animal & Plant Quarantine Station near the cargo complex.

How to book a pet on Singapore Airlines
Almost every airline requires you to add a pet to your reservation by phone — there is no online self-service for in-cabin or cargo pets at the major carriers, because the airline must confirm there is space on the specific aircraft type and route. Call +65 6223 8888 within 24 hours of buying your ticket and ask the agent to add the pet to your booking. You will be quoted the fee at the time of booking and pay it at airport check-in. Bring printed proof of vaccinations and a recent veterinary health certificate, especially for international itineraries.
At the airport, plan to arrive 90 minutes before a domestic departure or three hours before an international departure. The airline gate agent will inspect your carrier, attach an in-cabin pet tag, and confirm that your pet meets the under-seat dimension and weight limits. If your animal is travelling in cargo, you will drop them off at the carrier's dedicated cargo-acceptance facility (separate from the passenger terminal) at least four hours before departure for kennel inspection and loading.
