Taking a pet from the United States to French Guyana

What this destination requires
Dogs and Cats An APHIS endorsed international health certificate is not required.
Dogs and cats must be vaccinated against rabies and must travel to French Guyana with a valid rabies vaccination certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian.
The rabies vaccination must be given either: Within 30 days of travel for adult animals that did not have a lapse in their rabies vaccine coverage; or More than 30 days before travel for adult animals that had a lapse between rabies booster vaccinations; or More than 30 days before travel for animals vaccinated for the first time prior to travel; Each family is limited to three animals.
Of the three animals, only one can be a puppy or kitten under 6 months of age; If your dog or cat cannot meet the conditions above, please contact French Guyana offices to determine if the pet is eligible to travel.
