Pet relief area & accessibility
Beijing Capital International (PEK) processes pets through its Animal Quarantine Office at the cargo complex, separate from the passenger terminal. China's General Administration of Customs requires inbound pets to hold an import permit and to either complete a 30-day post-arrival quarantine at the Beijing Customs quarantine facility or to qualify for a reduced quarantine via a pre-arrival rabies-titer test from a recognised laboratory. Cabin pets are not permitted on most Chinese-domiciled carriers on international flights other than approved assistance dogs.

Before you fly
Confirm your airline's pet program before you book — every carrier publishes a slightly different cabin carrier limit, in-cabin pet count, and breed-restriction list. Browse the airline pet policies for the carrier you plan to fly, and review the guides library for country-specific import rules and carrier preparation tips. The information on this page is editorial and should be confirmed with the airport's official passenger services desk before travel.
