Pet relief area & accessibility
Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) provides post-security pet relief areas in every terminal (A, B, C, D, E) at locations published on the DFW airport website. Terminal D, the international terminal, has a particularly large relief area near gate D24 with a separate space for service animals and a hand-washing station. Outdoor relief areas with grass and fire-hydrant markers are available on every lower-level Arrivals curb. DFW is a hub for American Airlines, and the Skylink train circulates inside the secure area between every terminal, so connecting passengers can reach a relief area in any concourse without re-clearing security as long as they remain post-security.

Before you fly
Confirm your airline's pet program before you book — every carrier publishes a slightly different cabin carrier limit, in-cabin pet count, and breed-restriction list. Browse the airline pet policies for the carrier you plan to fly, and review the guides library for country-specific import rules and carrier preparation tips. The information on this page is editorial and should be confirmed with the airport's official passenger services desk before travel.
